Here’s a high end Star Wars POTF (Power of the Force) Anakin. On June 21, 2009 it sold for $1,065 on eBay. I’ve never understood why this line is highly collected. It was basically Kenner’s final attempt at trying to milk the last few cents out of the Star Wars trilogy after the first three movies came out. These figures were manufactured well into 1985. That being said, I wouldn’t mind owning this card.

I’ve always wanted a 1979 Mego Captain America. Here’s one that sold on eBay on July 1, 2009 for $637.99. This is a beautiful card with red vibrant colors. It’s in great shape but has two big Toys R Us price tags. Some collectors like the original price tag on their collectibles but prefer cards without stickers.

Why take the time buy a bunch of Star Wars action figures you don’t really want, cut out the proof of purchase stamp and send it in for a free Boba Fett? Just wait 30 years and buy one on eBay for $3,200.00. That’s what some one did on June 25, 2009.

On June 30, 2009 this Double Telescoping Darth Vader sold for a whopping $3,800 on eBay. What makes this loose Vader rare is the light saber. It seems only a small number of the originals came with a double telescoping light saber until Kenner decided to scrap it for the more economically manufactured single telescoping saber. These light sabers were also packaged on early Lukes and Ben Kanobis. It is said that most went into the early bird kits however some made it into early carded figures. There are said to be only a few know carded Vader examples containing this variation.

Variants never seem to amaze me. Here’s two early Mego Spiderman variations that sold recently on eBay. The first is the ‘DIAMOND CIRCLE SUIT’ Spiderman. The second is the ’BROKEN CIRCLE SUIT’ Spiderman. Both variations pertain to the spider emblam on the suit. The first sold for $2,500 while the second sold for $2325 on June 2, 2009.
